Public Online Estate Auction
From the Estate of the late Robert Heathcock, Birmingham, Alabama.
Incredible, 1 owner 1997 Sea Ray 330 Sundancer Yacht
Online Bidding ends Sunday, November 3rd @ 7:00pm (central time).
The Yacht is located at Barbers Marina in Elberta (Orange Beach), Alabama.
This incredible Sea Ray Yacht was purchased brand new in 1997 by Mr and Mrs Heatchock at the Sea Ray dealership in Pensacola, Florida. Mr Heathcock paid over $160,000 for the yacht brand new! This same boat sells for $300,000 to $350,000 today. Mr Heathcock had dreams of retiring and cruising the boat to the carribean. Unfortunetely, due business committments and health issues, he used it very little. The boat has an unbelievable low 125 hours on it! In 16 years it has been run and operated only 125 hours. Most of the time the boat sat in his boat slip in Orange Beach Alabama without being used. However.... Mr Heathcock was a very detailed and conscientious gentleman and was very particular about maintenance of this yacht. Every year, regardless of its use, he had one of the local marina's pull the yacht out of the water and clean/paint the hull. He also had a local boat mechanic to perform annual servicing of the engines. The boat has been meticously maintained!
Pearce & Associates staff had the boat removed from the condo boat slip and tranpsorted to one of the finest marina's on the Gulf Coast, "Barbers Marina" which is located directly accross the bay from Orange Beach, Alabama in Elberta, Alabama. It is currently in a wet slip and connected to power. We have operated the boat for approx 5 hours in both the bay and sea. The Twin 7.4 (454) gas engines start right up and run flawlessly. The oboard water cooled generator has an unbelievable 30 hours on it. The boat is in a large, wet slip that is being leased on a month to month basis for approx $350 per month. The winning bidder can move the boat, keep it in the wet slip or have Barbers load it into dry storage.
The yach is currently registered for 2014 and presently insured.
Here are more details about the boat and some options:
This vessel features Twin 7.4-litre 310-hp MPI MerCruiser Gas Engine's with only 125 original hours. The PowerBoat Guide had this to say:
An updated version of Sea Ray's original 330 Sundancer the 330 produced from 1995-99 is clearly a more stylish boat with softer exterior lines (note the reverse radar arch)and a slightly modified interior. The hull of the newer 330 is also longer than her predecessor and carries less deadrise (17 degrees vs. 21 degrees) as well as increased fuel. Too, the companionway is more to the center (it was to port on the original 330) which eases entry to the cabin. Belowdecks, the interior follows Sea Ray's standard Sundancer formula with a comfortable mid-cabin aft, a wide open salon with no bulkheads, full galley, and quality fabrics and hardware throughout. In the cockpit, a bench seat at the transom faces an aft-facing seat behind the helm and the gap can be filled to create a double sunpad. Additional features include a transom door, cockpit wet bar, easy engine access, transom storage and wide sidedecks." Powered by twin 7.4-litre V-drive inboards this vessel will cruise at 24 knots and reach a top speed in the neighborhood of 32-33 knots.
